Bilsteins and spacer

Thinking of installing Bilsteins and rear spacer, question, if installing rear spacer is it required to replace rear shocks? I was looking at a 4" lift initially, however, may go with Bilsteins 5100 up front, rear spacer 1" or 1.5", and bilsteins in the rear, think it will be around $900 installed as apposed to the lift for $2200, any thoughts, suggestions. The lift I was considering was Zone or Roughcountry, however I tow a camper often, so wanted to maintain some rake so not to be nose high towing, therefore prefer a lift with option to have replacement coils in the rear and keep some rake. anyone want to add opinions????

With the rear spacer it is not required to change shocks. If you are looking for bilsteins all the way around hit up jhinkle or fastnugly. They have good deals on the set all the way around.

It's also something I think anyone could do themselves with the right youtube videos and torque specs. May make an attempt and save you some more money.

Also, consider a set of Airlift 1000 in coil bags. They add 3/4" of ride height at full pressure to the rear, and my truck squats about 3" with 1000 lbs in the bed as opposed to what used to be close to 6" of drop.

I these could be used in addition to the spacers if you wanted to keep the soft ride, and rake, but then fill them up for towing/hauling heavy stuff.

I plan on ending up around 4" lift via 2.8" Bilsteins 1.5 rear spacer which i have now, then add the RCX 1.25" body lift later. This could likely all be done for closer to $1200 vs. your $2200 4" lift.
