Black interior tips

I wanted to give you guys a tip though. You can order Mopar black touch up paint for plastic and vinyl (New Mopar Black DX9 Paint Code Interior Spray Paint Can Dodge Chrysler Jeep | eBay). It's a small can and it's not cheap, but...I was able to colour match the bezel around my rear interior light, the bezel around my ceiling console, both of the plastic strips that clip in the door of CC's and even my upper glove box and still have a little paint left. its practically fool proof and looks perfect with 2-3 coats.

Can you tell me what kind of prep work is involved? What steps did you take? Thank you very much for the info so far.

GYSOT, one side of the dome is the switch to turn it on and off, if you look at that side there is a notch where you can pry the clear plastic. Once you do that it releases from the headliner and you can slide it to one side to remove it. You can separate the clear plastic piece from the colored base, just carefully turn it at an angle and it'll come out. Once you have it in your hand you'll see what I mean.

Aikido187, I was a little afraid of the paint not adhering to the plastic, but it's really more of a dye than paint...it kind of looks like it soaks in. I actually didn't prep at all, I should have at least wiped things down but I forgot, and it came out looking like I was a pro.
