I am currently blacking out the interior of my ‘16 crew cab Laramie. For reference it’s mostly black already aside from the wood strip on the door, the center console and steering wheel bezels, and that eyesore of a headliner plus the visors and all the little bits that hold it up.

I just did the headliner myself and it looks great, but now I’m looking for trim pieces, and I can’t find any. The only ones I found are “dealer take off” for $800+ for a set of upper pillar panels, which seems like a rip off for some plastic trim. Has anyone else run into this? Or if you’ve had better success than I’ve had, let me know where you found your parts. Thanks

$500 for a set? Seems like a lot for plastic trim, maybe it’s just be being cheap
Yea, I just ordered a plastic trim piece myself, recently. But, I had to have it.
$500 is better than $800. Who knows, check Ebay, junkyards, Facebook . . . or just buy what you need from Benny @AllMoparParts.com and move on to the next project
Let him know what parts you need, and he'll get the correct part #'s for you. If you're not sure what they're called, simply attach pictures and let him know what color you desire.
He's a forum vendor here and makes ordering parts very simple.

Vinyl and fabric paint. It;s a detailers secret that has been out of the bag for a while. It spray;s almost like a powder, but is wet. I know that doesn't make sense, but when you use it you will see what I mean. It's isn't like real paint, it wont last as long, but it is super easy to use no runs. It will last years, like 3 or so, but it isn't like real 10 year plus OEM paint. If you look at this picture the grey is this paint, it goes over many different types of interior from plastic to fabric speaker covers and other items. Tape off good and spray, will look perfect everytime even for people not good with spray paint. dupli color.

Was trying to avoid this route especially on things you touch…but I might have to give it a try on something inconspicuous. That looks pretty good from the picture.

I think I’ll end up ordering most of the black trim because I don’t want the paint to fade on the commonly used surfaces and show the tan underneath. I am going to test out some paint on the speaker covers and the overhead console trim just to see how it looks. I’ll post an update when it’s done but it’s low ish on my priority list.

I bought material and a couple cans of high strength spray adhesive on Amazon…cost about $80. Getting the headliner in and out of the truck without creasing the cardboard was probably the hardest part of the whole process. Rear seats and driver seat have to come out of the crew cab in order to squeeze the cardboard out of the rear door. The whole thing took me a couple weeks but I could have done it in a weekend if I didn’t have other plans. Let me know if you have any other questions!
