Buy a cheap non clad express model wheels, and buy black skin covers they look like oem black wheels.
I was looking at the oem black wheels and I agree way too expensive so I found a like new set of express wheels for $200 dollars and I just bought black covers and the look great

Oem is always more expensive..... You can find replicas for much cheaper or just buy aftermarket. Or you can always plastidip if your into that sort of thing......

Your chrome clads are the exact same thing (now with more glue)!

As stated above most of ram wheels have plastic over them it's not real chrome or anything. I would choose wheel covers over plasti dip. Mine are gloss black and they look great. I've done plasti dip on my other cars before and I can't justify plasti dipping my truck. It just doesn't look right anymore

Good luck

True on the chrome clads. And the plasti dipp looks OK for from a distant just cheezy up close and i tried glossifier but still not sold. I wonder how much a set of those rims to put covers on would cost?

I wouldn't spend more than $400 for just the rims and $600 if they come with tires in good shape.

The hassle of keeping up with the plasti dip made me go the other route it takes a lot to keep it looking good.

I was able to get a set of rims like new for $200 and I used my tires you just have to look around Craigslist and see when a set comes up. But yeah don't pay over 400 for a set

Forgot to mention their is probably someone wanting chrome class willing to trade you straight up or with added cash for their silver alloys. You should post in the wanted section here for a local swap.

Win win...

I agree with you

I've boughten two different sets of oem wheels and I've sold each set right away. People are in the market and they will buy.
Buy a set and then make your money back by selling yours if a trade doesn't work out
