Hi guys. Have researched until my eyes are cross, but wondering if you can help me with any info on the BLAU transmission fluid change kits? I have a 2021 Ram 1500 5.7 & 8HP75 with 80,000 and am about to do a tranny fluid change, which will entail a new pan/etc. I have read many posts on the PPE and may go that route, but the BLAU website has a fairly good video on the change procedure and I am considering them. Any thoughts.....good or bad? Any thoughts on the Blau fluid…the Ravenol? TIA!

Plenty of people have run one or the other with virtually zero issues. You'll hear arguments for both. In the end, it's a decision you'll have to make and I don't think you'd be disappointed whichever way you choose to go.

Follow these instructions, especially the very first highlighted paragraph, you need the rear tires roughly 9" in the air to level the transmission.

the oil bottles from Blau (Ravenol) are a special bottle that I had never seen before. It has a spout the pulls up with a hose tube that comes out of it that connects right to the pump that they include with the kit. Honestly I was happy with the kit, the hardest part is doing that level check with the exhaust pipe getting hot, I wore some welding sleeves and simple mechanics gloves and it was starting to get a bit toasty not to mention that damn plug....

Get yourself a garden sprayer. Remove the tip of the nozzle. It will make life so much easier. I got this one for $20.

The plastic home depot sprayers work as well, plus are a bit smaller so you dont have to reach as far to pump. You can also remove the wand and add a section of tubing so that you have a bit more room to work.

These things usually have a suction strainer on the tube inside. For those of you that have done this, do you remove this suction strainer from inside the tank? I would think that it would lead to having to pump more pressure to get the fluid through it.

I never have, and mine pumps 85W-140 lube no problem, but i usually change diff fluids etc,on warm days, and set the bottles of lube in the sun to warm up. The ZF fluid for the 8 speeds is about as thick as water,so no issues pumping it,lol

I prefer a 12V transfer pump for moving several quarts of fluid. No handle to pump. Just stick the suction hose down in each quart bottle and move to the next when empty. Bought mine on eBay and have used it for ATF, gear oil, etc.

New here just trying to figure out how you are able to get your vehicle jacked up and level using only floor jacks and Jack stands. I’d like to be able to do this on my own to save some money, but I’m not sure how I can get my vehicle jacked up, would like any suggestions as to how you may have accomplished this without a lift.I’m

6 ton jackstands under the axles, and a hi-lift floorjack under the pumpkin will usually get it high enough,if your floorjack isn't tall enough, you might have to use a block of wood between it and the rearend,or place your floorjack on a couple 2X6's / 2X8's etc.

Some blocks of wood , that you set the Jack stands on, 2”x12” is probably big enough. You may have to stack them , or larger chunks of lumber..
You can remove the front wheels for a few more inches.

It is ok to jack on the rear axle or should I just jack on the diff?
How to support the front I am assuming I would use the front cross member?

Don't jack on the axle tube, use the pumpkin (differential housing).

Yes, use the front cross member for the front which you shouldn't need to do for simply leveling the trans.

Why wouldn't you jack on the axle tubes, the truck is supported on the axle tubes, and if truth be known,it's safer to jack on the axle tube then the pumpkin. The only thing supporting the pumpkin are the axle tubes,it doesn't happen often, but you can actually knock an axle tube out of alignment jacking on the pumpkin
