Hey,
Seems to me my blind spot audio detection still alarms even when i have it set to visual indication only.

i would not mind the audio but as far as i can tell there is no volume adj for the blind spot. Its just set to loud.

Maybe there’s some other detection I don’t realize but I turn the front and rear bumper sensors off.

Place the Blind spot audio off.

But each time as I’m slowly about to back out of my driveway if cars come by the Blindspot goes off really loud.

Is this a known thing? Thanks.

I know you..

Are the lights on the mirrors lighting up? Just wondering if its blind spot or rear distance.

Yes.

I turn bumpers off, and blind spot audio off and it still alerts as a car is approaching from far off as i back up from the drive way toward the street.

I will do it again and see what happens.

Thanks.

What you are hearing when cars approach while you are backing up is not actually blind spot monitoring. It is cross path detection. It uses the same sensors as BSM, but the audio doesn’t get shut off for cross path detection when it is shut off for BSM.

seems like all of those extra goodies that some people just had to have, can turn around & irritate them

Nope. BSM audio will shut off or on. No low to high volume selection like the bumper sensor.

But the cross traffic detection will always beep.

Today my blind spot auto detection for trailer came on, I don’t even have a trailer. I ended up having to turn off the truck and restart it.
