Looks like a fun challenge!

I'm going to be doing this in about 2 weeks when I get back from my business trip. Really excited I love doing stuff like this!

Curious also how far out of alignment this made your truck?

havent drove it yet. taking it to my alignment place monday. will report in.
hopefully im lucky like the other guys

Definately a nice write up.
I'm guessing your lower strut bolt came out of the LCA with no issues? I had to beat the chiz out of mine. Wouldn't budge. Their actually still seized in the rubber bushing. They are getting a routine dose of penetrating oil so when all my new parts show up, hopefully I can remove them. Good thing I'm not in a hurry to get them changed.

the passenger side bolt was a complete ***** to get out! took a lot of beating and twisting.
driver side came out like butter.

Nice write up man. It was definitely an adventure doin mine, couldn't imagine not doin it without air tools though.

this project has convienced me to buy an air compressor for my air tools!
i mean who has a whole set of air tools and no air compressor???
(i guess my ******** does!) lol

thanks for all the positive comments folks

Did you use lots of grease when you reinstalled the lower bolts?

The lower shock bolts? I coated them with oil when reinstalling. I'd like to have some zerk fittings there an why dodge put sealed ball joints in there I'll never know. Everydamnthing should have zerk fittings on it!

Good deal. I lubed mine up when I put the level on back in 07. They came back out no problem when I did the lift in '10. Hopefully they will come out again when I get new struts!

Where did you get them and how much did you pay?

question for those of you that have these leveling struts installed. Do you have a loud ass annoying sqeak or rattle???? Mine squeak like crazy and it's driving me nuts. I read somewhere that it might be the upper control arms. Can anyone help me with a remedy?

You probably have a loose lower strut bolt. That is a common cause of the squeak.

Or the oem rubber bushings in the upper A frame. I have a squeak on the left front, but thats only when I hit a driveway apron. HARD! So I watch my approaches and have had little issue.
Yeah sorry froggy , missed that one......

Mine don't squeak. U have to tighten the lower strut bolt with the weight of the vehicle on it .. Don't know if that would cause it or not

Curious, what type of grease did you guys use? Just plain old joint grease I'm assuming.

My family lives on a farm we've got boat loads of #2 grease around. Even some over priced green stuff. Lol

Just making sure I didn't need anything special like on a brake job.

So with the help of my brother, tool box buddy, a small jack from a IS300, some big box wrenches, and a lot of work the white ram is now level.

Passenger
Rear: 39.5
Front: 39

Driver:
Rear: 39.375
Front: 39

Woot! About 2 inches in the front.
