installed ra2 from ra1 today.... added mic and new evic controls... however, i can't browse bluetooth audio selection from radio. i can play music and skip, but not select artists. also, if i plug in my phone to the usb, it only reads the phone if i'm not connected via bluetooth. i can then connect to bluetooth after my phone is loaded thru the usb and resume controls... the audio when bluetooth music is played sounds tinny, but not on fm/am/cd/usb. any suggestions on this???
i have an iphone 6 plus and 2014 1500 tradesman.
thanks for the help

Following this one.
What did you do to add the evic controls? They appear on my display but will not "Save"?

"Save"?? I disassembled part of the steering wheel to unplug the original controls and added the new one with the vr and phone buttons.

I have since tried using the Bluetooth browse function with other non-Apple phones and am having the same issues.

What I was trying to say is when I access the evic settings and try to change something thru the ra2 it displays "changes not saved" or something to that effect. I haven't added anything but the ra2, it works fine but the compass doesn't work and I haven't gotten the mic yet.

soo i havent solved the software issues, but i may have stumbled on a solution for the static on bluetooth music... i installed a 2 amp system, one for the doors and one for a sub, but i can't say with 100% certainty that that is what cleaned it up. its not perfect, still, but its tolerable.

the reason i cant say thats the solution is bc i also removed and took the cover off the head unit to see if i could find an antenna. my goal was to see if the antenna was getting interference. i didnt see a traditional antenna, but i did notice multiple copper "springs." they were actually shaped like a "z" and there were several on the circuit board. i believe they may have been acting as an antenna bc they create contact with the metal lid, thereby making the entire lid an antenna. i gently stretched each one so they'd make better contact with the lid.

i'm no expert, but since it seemed to work, i felt i'd share my results. after you remove the radio, there are 4 t9 screws holding the cover on. hopefully someone else gives it a try and can say with certainty those copper z's are the solution. good luck!
