bodylift qustions

Just wondering about getting a body lift. would like to see some pictures and are there any gap guards better then the other? and will there be a space between bumper and the tailgate?

any gap guards should be fine, you probably want the clip on kind. and there will be a space between both of the bumpers and you will have to buy brackets to raise them.

the good ones come with bumper brackets there will be space between the class V hitch and the bumper. your bumper hitch should not be used after a body lift. you can replace the hitch with a hidden hitch that will raise it back up but keep the tow rating.

Here is mine 2" level,3" body lift with 35's. You can see the hitch under the bumper, I made a piece out of sheet metal to cover the gap, bolted to the hitch and 3m tape to the bottom of bumper.

Does anyone know if they make a smaller body lift than a 3in for a 3rd gen? I already have bilsteins and now i want to do a body lift but I think 3in will be too much with only 34in tires. I've seen 1.5 and 2in for 09+ rams.

I don't think there is anything other then a 3". If it helps here is a pic of my truck when I had a 2" level/3" body lift and 33/12.50/20 tires. I think you would be ok with 34's.

Ram'em, did you install yourself? Just curious. I wouldn't mind a body lift but I'm afraid of sawzalling my front frame horns off lol.

Yes I did, easy to do just time consuming.
