I have a 2004 4.7 liter 2 wheel drive quad cab Ram 1500 and I've been having a bouncy vibration in the rear when going over bumps. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem, and if so what I can do to reduce this vibration. I've been looking into installing an aftermarket sway bar on the rear end of the truck to smoothen the ride. There's one made by Hellwig that seems like it's a good product. Suggestions? Comments on why this vibration could be happening?

Worn out shocks and probably need to rotate the tires.

I replaced all four shocks, and replacing the rear shocks helped a little, but not very much. I checked my driveshaft for play in the universal joints, and I came up with none. Good u-joints, new shocks, just got a brand new set of tires installed just a few days ago. Been trying to root this problem out since I got the truck, so far nothing has helped it. It does seem, however, when there's a lot of weight in the bed or when pulling my 12x6' enclosed trailer with two motorcycles in back, that this vibration goes away completely and the truck rides great. But when the truck is unloaded the vibration returns.

Helwig is a great brand.
I would get a price from Matt @moesperformance. @Hemi450hp
And from
Nick @GotExhaust.com
Both are preferred vendor’s here and they both go out of their way to take superb care of their customers. Both carry a variety of suspension products.
I’ve bought stuff from both of them and these 2 are always my first go to guys.
Mat has a 10 sec all steel Ram
And nick has a badass Power Wagon. They are truly die hard Ramily
