My “BRAKE” indicator light, traction control light, and “ABS” light all came on. Brakes feel/function fine. Fluid level is fine. Looked underneath for any loose/broken ABS type wires. Nothin. Suggestions?

I plugged in my Diablo to read the codes, and got “no codes.”

Can’t remember exactly… I would guess 8-12 months or more? I swapped out for the PowerStop set.

Pop out the sensors and clean them with a little brake clean. Inspect them for broken o rings, cracks, etc.

You need a scanner that can read other modules besides the PCM. That code would be stored in the ABS module but most likely its something to do with a wheel sensor...

I also have an alphaOBD… but never have used it. Would that read out the code?

Use Alfa OBD and check for any codes first before throwing any parts at it. Could just be a wheel speed sensor but could be several other things as well.

Scanned with app… looks like something going on with abs module. Any thoughts? Plus, wondering what the other items are?7E767C0A-3D7E-4CB7-9F52-A0A3E4004E72.png 1EE15586-7840-49C5-B9A0-136111ED9233.png

Could be bad TIPM causing everything. You want to check the wiring harness at the anti lock brake module for power to the abs pins and the grounds. Gotta research that.

Have you had anything weird happen? Like lights just coming off, or horn beeping for no reason? any gremlins other then abs CEL?

Nope. And the brake/abs indicators only come on occasionally, after each truck restart.

Still could be bad TIPM, a usual suspect when you see a laundry list of CEL's with 2007-2014 rams. I think it was 2015/16 rams they still had TIPM but less relays in them, can't say 100 on that, but TIPM is known issue with our years. Especially when you see circuits open, because that is what can happen in TIPM when they lose solder joints.

Keep in back of your mind if you cant find it.

I know some of the problematic TIPM was in the '08 and prior years, it may extended up into the '09-'12 years. Starting with '13-'18(plus Cassics) is different from prior years.

thanks good info, in that case it would be less likely to be TIMP imo. Still possible in theory, something is going on with all those CEL's.

I know where i would start, but then, i never claimed to be a mechanic

I would open the fuse box cover
Then i would press gently down & wiggle each fuse & relay inside of the unit

Then take a tool, Bussman, Littlefuse, Gunson, etc. sells them

without pulling fuses, you can check continuity, just by moving the contact points

Be careful when you move the slider pin
They do break off easily

C2200 Anti-lock Brake Module Internal
C2200 Code - ignition on.
The Antilock Brake Module (ABS) monitors its internal microprocessors for correct operation. If the Antilock Brake Module detects an internal fault, the DTC is set.

- ABM - Internal Fault

Diagnose C2200 Code
ABM Internal failure DTC present
Turn the ignition on, with the scan tool read DTCs. With the scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn the ignition off. Turn the ignition on, with the scan tool read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE INTERNAL FAILURE?
Yes, replace the Antilock Brake Module/Antilock Brake System (ABS) Module. Perform the ABS Verification Test.

Good luck
Pick a road less traveled, to do the verification testing

Mine is in the shop as we speak. I dropped it off May 16 because of the ABS CEL, and a message to check trailer wiring. Traction control light is also on. The dealer replaced the ABS module, but that did not clear the codes. So assuming it was a faulty module, replaced it with a second one. Still did not clear the codes. Waiting to hear from FCA tech to see where to go from here. 2018 RAM 3500 with 24k miles. So luckily, still under warranty. Sux being without a truck however.
