I did brakes a few weeks ago. I was cleaning my garage and noticed one of the Pistons shims laying in the garage. Do I need to pull the brakes apart again to add this, or is it fine?ee2b03df00088081abee3710dcebd2ea.jpg

the shim looks like a ecb brake that goes into the outside of the piston you may have to pull the brake apart to install the shim cause is no lube between the piston and pad may start making noise up to you

It is the shim that goes on the Pistons, will it cause damage to the Piston or just for noise? The back of the pads have lube so there is lube between the Piston and the pad.
