What would the brightest HID be? Is it 6000k or 8000k

I would say the 6Ks are the brightest, 8k is more of a blue-ish tint which is what my bf has and when I'm behind him in my truck, my HIDs go under his truck and shine over his lol

5000k is the purest white of a hid. I have 6000k, and my dad said it was kinda blue ish

Oem lights are 4300 I believe and from what I've found that is the most lumens and usable light. The hotter you go the more blue/purple the light and less you see and the quicker tour eyes will get tired. The cooler or less number the more yellow the light becomes. Like above 5000 is the most white. I had 6000 in my sled and it looked cool in the parking lot but you couldn't see anything a speed and even less with snow dust. I switched to the 4300 and it's like daylight and I can't out drive the light no matter how hard I try.

55w are the brightest. 5k is supposed to be the purest and brightest color, but 6k is pretty near just as good.

4300s are the brightest. I run 5Ks cuz they look the best (IMHO)

4300 or 5k is your best bet for pure white color, 8k will be very blueish.

So 5ks for the brightest? They will shine through the black covers nicely?

I wish I had pics of it all other than just a "color swatch" type deal.

Black covers? Whatcha doing man.........yeah, they'll shine through, but - diminished greatly.
