Build and Price RAMBox option?

I searched the forums and couldn't find anything. Am I missing something or is the RAMBox option not available using the Build and Price tool on the RAM website?

I think I may have answered my own question. Doesn't look like it's an option with the 6'4" bed. 5'7" only. I haven't spoken to a dealer yet, does anyone know if that's the case? No RAMBOX on 6'4" bed?

I don’t believe so. The rambox is an entire bed, not just the sides.
I searched far and wide for mine and it’s a 5”7. I do not believe they make a 6 footer.

Have you looked at the Ram Boxes on a lot yet? Only reason I ask is I was dead set on getting them until I saw them in person. They might be what you are looking for but just sharing that I was disappointed. They went from #1 on my must have list to me not even wanting them. IMO the amount of bed space you lose isn't even close to space inside the Boxes.

Yes, I have. For my purposes, they would be a great fit. I don't haul a lot of material that I would need all the bed space and the amount of bed space with the RamBox option leaves me plenty of room to load a street bike when I travel and store straps and other things when I'm not hauling a bike. I also tow a travel trailer and the boxes are great for keeping a lot of my hitch stuff. Thank you.

I will not own another truck without RamBox. I thought the last gen 2500s had the RamBox. I would swear is saw one with the 6 foot bed. But that was 2500.

The 2500 with the 6ft bed has the RamBox option.

The 5th Gen DT does not yet have RamBox on the 6'4 bed. It is only available on the 5'7 bed.

The HeavyDuty is still using the 4th Gen Bed and on 2019/20 RAM 2500/3500 you can get the RamBox with the 6'4 bed.

Just got my Ram with the ram box, short bed, and love it. Greatest thing for camping. The boxes store all my gear for the trailer on one side and dog stuff on the other. Super easy to get at is what I like the best. My next truck will be a 2500 with these boxes.

They were phased out of the 6.4 Gen5 , 1/2 ton bed. Only available on the 5.7 bed. A 5.7 does not work for me, I would even prefer an 8 foot bed.

That’s the reason I did a bed swap on my Gen 4, instead of trading up to a Gen 5. One sale lost for FCA.

Tools, tow straps, ratchet tiedowns, wet weather gear, jumper cables, flashlights, fishing rods, shotguns, rifles, etc
go in there. Basically anything you would put in a big toolbox that mounts in the bed.

I have even seen people say they are perfect for carrying take out from the fast food restaurant. To each his own[emoji57]

They don’t work for some, but they do work for me, and I love them.

I put cold beverages in my RamBoxes while camping also. Keeps the extra foot traffic out of the trailer.
