built in ac power inverter

Noticed something funny today. A guy I work with has a 2011 Ram CC SLT. We got to talking about our trucks and he mentioned something about his in-dash ac power invertor not having a ground plug. I thought he was confused, becasue the one in my 2012 has a ground plug. Sure enough...his 2011 doesn't have a ground and my 2012 does. He was going to call the dealer about seeing if he could swap a new one in place of the old one. Just a subtle little change from the 11 model to the 12.

they changed it in 2012. I saw it on the trucks at the NY auto Show. Youd have to buy the part and see. The only thing I bet the harness was changed in 2012 to include the ground wire. I'm pretty sure that the gound would have to come from the inverter and not frame because its AC not DC

Nope still just plain old inverter

Not quite sure why you would need a GFI in a truck cab.
