Anyone switched up 4th gen 5 lug to 5th gen 6 lug? I'm a fan of The Built To Serve wheels and I would like to run them on my 4th gen Eco.

This one's been revisited a few times. I'd Buy wheel adapters as the brakes, hubs calipers possibly steering knuckles are all different. It'd be costly. You'd also have to replace the rear axle, if not at minimum axle shafts, calipers, and rotors. I'd say it'd be over 2k minimum to do the swap

Swap the hubs and either redrill your brakes to 6 lug or use 5th gen brakes.

This is going to be a bit of a long winded story. :p I did some searching for something on this topic before I posted but came up empty. Wheel spacers were the way I went and I thought I had done my research pretty thouroughly. I ended up having BORA build me some 1 1/2 inch spacer as I wanted to stay as close to stock geometry as possible and all of my research concluded BORA was the most trusted name around. They weren't cheap though. After waiting for a month for my spacers, they arrived. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to my order though because they arrived as 2 piece spacers and not the 1 piece I had assumed they would be. The stock studs are about 3/4 of an inch longer than required to bolt straight up to the adapter. I really did not like the idea of shortening the studs though so BORA said they could build me a thicker base plate to clear the studs but they stated I may not be happy with the extra thickness. After waiting another roughly 3 weeks for the new base plates to be built they arrived. They were correct in their statement. What had originally been a 1 1/2 inch space had grown to around 2 1/4 to bolt up clearing the factory studs. I'm not happy with the look of the extra width. They would probably be fine if I was lifting the truck but that's not the case. So now I'm at the point either I shorten the factory studs 3/4 or bag the whole Idea. I really didn't think this process was going to be as involved as its became. Anyone in the market for some brand new hub centric BORA spacers in 1 1/2 and 2 1/4 thickness? Just to give credit where its due. BORA has been a pretty good company to work with and they tried to accommodate my wishes to see this plan through to the end. I've grown weary of this project though and I'm cutting my losses.

What do you mean "clearing the factory studs"? I used to have 1.5" spacers, they were counterbored so that the nut would run down inside it and the factory studs sticking through the nuts sat about flush with the outside edge of the spacer. No trimming required. Then the spacers obviously had their own studs for the wheel.

@Dandaman99701 id just cut the studs I've done it on many vehicles. Just throw Ur wheel nut on all the way in grind them off at the length you need taper a tiny bit if you'd like and thread the but off so it retreads any damaged bits and done. 1/4 nipped off factory studs won't hurt anything. I'm running 2inch spacers between my duallys and haul a regular 20k with it and never had the slightest issue.
Also I'm weird I loctite the inner nuts for the spacer, just my weird piece of mind.

Yes, cutting the studs would be the next step. I just think I've run out of motivation for this project. I wasn't supposed to be this involved. Already have the loctite and the torque wrench. Just lacking motivation now.

The spacers are 2 piece to allow for the 5 lug to 6 lug conversion. If they were 1 piece there would have been no issue bolting them up and having the necessary clearance on the back side of the wheels for fitment.
