Im interested in a bar for my truck but can't make up my mind which would be better.

I drive a 2500 Diesel. It's my Daily Driver. Never goes offload with the exception to the potholes of Edmonton. I drive highways and at night so lights will be added.

Just looking for opinions and preferences. Thanks.

Are you just looking for a nice way to mount lights? If so, Patton Fab makes a very clean looking 3 tab light bar that mounts in between the tow hooks on your bumper. I have considered this bar for my own truck.

Winter Photo, but it suits the request.

I seriously need to get some current shots with her cleaned up and washed.

Kind of style plus lighting eventually. I was planning on going with the LED bars. probably 2-3, angled to cover 160degrees.

I dunno the bull bar may look good too. I normally like the pre-runner look more, but.....Nice truck btw. Well, I'm sure it looks good clean........haha What's that white stuff on the ground?

If I had a diesel I would have HD bumpers most likely from boondock.

I think that would look tough if you were planning a full replacement.

You don't find that those HDbumpers are heavy for the front end?
Seems that more and more are interested in the Pre-runner. I'll have to start pricing them out.

I looked at those bars. They are pretty slick.

I think they are far too heavy for a 1500 suspension and performance wise. But on a diesel the suspension is a lot stiffer and has so much torque the performance loss wouldn't be negligible to the fact your front end has so much protection. That's what I'd do if I were a cummins owner. Alas I'm still gonna be with my 1500 for a few years.

What did you end up getting for your truck? I've been looking for pre-runner light bars but can seem to find any around my area ( Edmonton, Alberta) :whymewhyme:
