I wasn't sure where to set these while installing my tuner for the first time. I went through them without changing the default numbers. Should I change them for any reason? I'm just not technically savy enough to know about rev limits. Thanks

I changed my rev limit to 6000 and my shift points to 5960. Hitting the rev limit is not so good for the engine thats why I set my shift point so it wouldnt hit it. The neutral rev limit is a non issue, I dont rev that high in neutral. The higher shift point helps with shift recovery. Helps to keep the rpms up closer to the power band after a shift.:signs6:

For somebody like me who does 95% of his driving in the city, should I adjust my settings to the same as you mentioned above?

Well those are wide open throttle shift points. So for regular driving it just shifts a little higher than stock. I went up slowly to see how the truck would react. Try 5800 and see how you like it. Its easy enough to change. I have read of guys running to 6200 and even 6400 with the stock drivetrain.

I wanna do what's going to give me the best in town MPG and won't hurt my truck in the short or long term. Based on that and my driving habits, what do you recommend?

Set the shift points at 5800. You will get a little more performance than stock and still be very safe.:****:

Just had a chance to play around with it. Seems as if I need to re-install the tune in order to change those options. That correct?

I think I did re-install. Its been a while but the re-install goes quickly. I did it so many times to keep up with the updates i cant even remember now.

Has anyone had any back firing at shift from first to second? It's not really back firing but sounds like it's trying to suck air back in through the tail pipe....

No. Never. I think the 180 thermo is helping my truck run rich so no: knock, ping or backfire.
