Got to tracking down a strange scraping sound on my '04 1500 this morning. Found out the middle leaf on the passenger side is busted and twisting out so that it rubs the inside of the wheel under some conditions.
1) I haven't found a source for new springs that inspires confidence. So I could use some suggestions on where to get them.
2) Is this a feasible driveway job? The only video I could find on it recommended cutting the bolts and replacing them with generic hardware store bolts. That ain't happening. But if I have to drop the gas tank, lift the bed, or some other silliness I'll just take it somewhere.
