Looking to trade in my 2015 1500 Laramie but with new generation change coming for '24 not sure what to do. I'm not talking about the electric Evolution coming but the gas engines only. With the phasing out of the 5.7 I'm waiting to see if the '24 RAM will present with the Hurricane engine.

I would be willing to wait and see what the '24 would be if the Hurricane was available. Maybe even the 5.7 eco boost will still be available and that's not all bad having driven one. Sounds like no major body changes for '24 but no info yet that I can find. Wondering what everyones feeling is about ordering a '23 in next couple of months or waiting on the '24s? I also wonder what the latest one can order a '23 this year? I'm sure my dealer can answer but they just like to sell what they have and keep new changes close to the vest.

grab a vehicle on the last day or weekend of the month
sales persons want to make quota for the monthly bonuses

They have stopped taking Orders for the Heavy Duty Rams
July 10th, they will start building Heavy Duty 2024 Rams

That means they will stop taking orders for the Ram 1500s very soon

I would find a senior sales person at your dealership that you like.
Let he or she know what you are thinking & let them know that the sale will be theirs, if they let you know what is going on in a timely manner.

I only deal with one salesman at my local dealership, even though i am not in the market at this time

personally I will be staying away from the hurricane in first couple years so that’s an anti-selling point for me. 5.7 is already only available with eTorque so pick your poison. I’ll still take my chances over a ford or Chevy. Good luck!

I would check now, but consider waiting, the factories are catching up
and there is more inventory that will start piling up. That means some
rebates will be getting back to normal to get the iron out the door.
The high interest rates are also a slow down for those looking to finance,
it seems prices went up at least $10K on most new trucks since 2020,
that is extreme.

Unless U really need, I would wait and see how far they drop prices and rebates because there is a monster glut of Unsold 2022 and 2023 vehicles, all the major brands in the US. They gonna have to drop something to sell, IMHO, Unless U just could not wait. (Eco Boost be Ford, but that's OK, we know what U meant, hee hee)

I would buy a 5.7L before I got the silly Hurricane, but that is My opinion only.

I was quoted $759 a month for a 15k a year lease sign and drive for a Laramie. I walked out. I’m also waiting to see if some serious deals hit this year. If not, I’m sticking with my 2019 Big Horn.

If you have the 7 or 8 year Extended Warranty on the 2019
you are sitting in a good place, whether you decide to wait or buy new now

22's and 23's are stacking up at dealers because they are a lot more expensive than just a cpl. years ago and the higher finance rates are reducing the number of buyers that qualify or are willing to pay the resulting high payment. this is true for all brands. mfrs are forcing inventory down to dealers so they are being pinched. I saw some numbers that show many dealers with over 6 months inventory and 22's that have been on hand for 350 or more days. at some point they are going to be pinched enough to deal and sell.
