I’m looking at a 24 Laramie with the 5.7 right now. I think the e-torque is probably ok, but the Atlantas High sounds overly intrusive if not outright glitchy.

2025 Rebel here. The only issue is the ****ng radio. Reboots when noone is expecting it. Otherwise, other electronic components are fine. Heads up display is great, line keeping assist works, blind zone and cross traffic notifications are actually telling the truth. And I am driving like 80-90% of time on ACC. Maybe I am just lucky (not accounting for the radio issues).

Ive got a 24 Laramie with hemi E-torque, just clocked 9500km and no issues. The ADAS system is great, can turn lane assist off and it stays off. Front rear park sensors can be turned off depending on driving situation. The auto start can be turned off but needs to switched off everytime you start but there is an aftermarket switch fix for that. I'll take my chances with E torque and being able to access the system with the Alfa OBD compared to the newer electrical tech architecture issues and not being able to access its OBD network. Mine has the tech that i never knew i needed and has been helpful not annoying to drive with. So far Im loving it, touch wood.

Has 31 gal. Tank that seems to be empty @ 231 miles! What can I expect to get mpg & range wise?

Do the math yourself and compare to what the truck says.

E-torque is like going to Vegas banking on returning a winner. Yes it happens on occasion but the odds are not in your favor.

I ran into an annoying problem the other day. Backing up with my utility trailer the Ram kept thinking I was running in to it, and repeatedly slammed on the brakes. WTF? Simple to bypass, but still not something I was expecting.

When towing, ALWAYS turn off the rear sensors. Now if I plug in my trailer, my rear sensors are disabled by the TT system. But if I am just pulling it around the yard, or putting in garage, I do not plug in, so have to manually turn off. IF using 4 pin, U still have to turn off as truck does not know a trailer is there on 4 pin connecting.

Yes, U can also turn off the rear park assist system, being separate from just having the rear sensors enabled.

I was parking by a restaurant one day to meet friends from MC club. Friggin lil fern bush was leaning over and set off the park assist and locked up the brakes. PPL must have thought I was outta my mind. SO I learned years ago bout that PITA nanny stuff, and that is nothing compared to the nanny stuff PPL got now with 2025's and on with the new Atlantis Electrical nanny boo boo stuff. All IMHO.

I get a similar experience as others on this post. The one that bugs me the most is the auto-stop feature. You can hit a button on the dash to turn it off, but you need to do that EACH time you restart the truck. The good part is that it does not chime or bark at you if you turn it off. The lane assist can be turned off and the chimes do go away.

2019 here, autostop: Hit the pedal to the left of the skinny pedal, lol.

Which tires and what size exactly?

An online tire size comparison calculator will show the speedo error to be expected unless you reset the BCM tire size. This tire circumference error will falsely report the mileage on the EVIC. As mentioned below by Olyelr.

Enter the OE tire size from the door sill placard and the new aftermarket tire size.

More importantly, what do the new tires weigh, and what is the final gear ratio??

Big heavy tires are a killer for gas mileage.

And if you're using corn gas, that's all going to add up to poor fuel economy.

I liked the Park Assist warning for the first few months of ownership and then quickly got fed up with the interruption of tunes while backing into the barn.

No more Park Sense nanny for me, I have mirrors and a backup cam for those functions.

My ‘16 power wagon on heavy 35x12.5’s has gotten right around 12mpg average for the last 130k miles. You should definitely be getting a fair bit better with the 8 speed trans. You either drive like a complete @s$hole lol or something is wrong.

Did you reprogram the speedo and shift points for the larger tires? If not, your mpg calculations (computer and manually) are incorrect.

Does this auto-stop feature happen while the seat belt buckle is attached?

With my '21 Warlock, a seatbelt extender fixed any auto-stop silliness.

AFAIK autostop works if enabled seat belt status not an issue but that is more of a guess. I’d have to go out and try to create scenario. Nah lol.

But U have 4th Gen I have 5th Gen maybe programming lil different tho I doubt it.

Spoke with a RAM Dealer who said that the e-Torque is more problematic in cold weather climate zones.

Not specifically, but everything is more problematic in colder weather/climates.

Funny enough, I have had that exact same thing happen to me backing up in the Hyundai Sonata I'm looking to trade. Sometimes, it will see a car coming at some weird angle and just slam them! Once it happened at the end of my in-laws driveway, not sure what it saw there, perhaps a bump in the gravel? It always feels like an actual accident.

Ironically, this doesn't bother me! It's occasional behavior that at least seems to need provoking by something (usually) moving and is applied fairly consistently. Thankfully, I've heard nothing so far like what the Hyundai Sonata does: Beep loudly 5 times, flash a "Consider taking a break" warning that interrupts the radio when I'm just trying to drive down the highway: again and again and again on long trips....

The only Etorque I have direct experience with is a friends kid who bought one and put like 30k miles on it in a year with no issues. Given that every truck manufacturer has some issues, I'm not seeing enough of a body of evidence against it to actively avoid it... yet. If the right 5.7 comes along with the 3.92's I'd probably jump in.
