man these lights look amazing -- everyone's. I am with @JB1, if I go this route, I think amber is the way I go.

You order the kit yet??? Come on, just do it...lol

I put the amber halogens in for now but planning to swap LEDs in soon.

Someone had a setup with amber on the outers and white in the middle 3. Probably not legal where I live but I bet it would look good.

I am on "mod detention" according to the Mrs. The replacement bumpers, the winch, 4 sets of Rigid lights, and big upcoming Linex job. I may have to add a room to the doghouse if I do anymore modding for awhile, LOL!

FYI, the fuse box tap posted earlier in the thread are a GREAT idea. I had originally T'd off my right front parking light, from behind the light which was a tight spot, and I didn't do the best wiring job in there and was not happy with it. So I ordered that fuse box tap, and just removed my T from the headlight and moved the power wire to the fuse box via the tap. Works nice, looks better/cleaner wiring, and now the OEM headlight cluster is not "tampered with" if ever I have a warranty issue up there...

I can't tell from the pictures, but does this fuse tap work with the "M case" style fuse, or just the two blade style ?

Thanks

This particular one works for the Micro2 ATR fuse ONLY. BUT, there are similar fuse taps for many different size and type fuses out there. Search amazon....

Alright guys looking for some advice here. I bought and installed the OEM cab clearance lights on my 2017 Ram 1500 last night. I’m very happy with how they turned out and I’ll provide some images later, however I’m not sure I wired them correctly.

The instructions call you to splice then into the parking light wire under the driver footwell which I have done. The lights only flash when I lock and unlock the truck so they must be getting some power. They don’t come on when the truck is running though.

I changed the bulbs that came with the lights to LEDs. I’m not sure if that would make a difference.

Ideally I’d be looking for another wife under the footwell to splice into. Thanks

I wired mine directly to the fuse box F79 which is the cab light fuse. Mine come on with lights and also with remote start. I have LED and they work fine.

I did the same and wired into F79. Here are some pics in the install. I was so nervous about drilling 15 holes into my truck but I’m very happy with the end result.

Some more pics. I also tinted the lights to match my truck colour.

Seanbeck, interesting that the light even shows thru the black paint???

Have you checked your local laws? In NY your not aloud to have white marker lights, they have to be orange...

I haven’t actually checked the local laws. I’m thinking of changing the bulbs from white to amber anyway. I think it might look better.

I used a spray black tint which allows light to pass through.

Pretty cool, never herd of the "tint" paint. Do you recall the brand or have a link? Thanks... looks great by the way.
