Looking to get a CAI soon. Was wondering what some of you guys prefer. Also dual exhaust came stock on my 2011 Laramie. Wanted to know the best way to get a more aggressive sound from it. I hate to get a new exhaust system or anything since mine only has 20k miles on it :/

Maybe just replace the stock muffler, and add new tips

take a look at mufflex. They make kits that clap directly in to the location of the stock muffler. I got the 14" kit and love it. They use magnaflow mufflers

Here is a link to mufflex

So you would just cut the stock off and clamp the new one in it's place? Is this sufficient enough without welding?

As far as CAI's are concerned, I have the Vavaram on mine, and absolutely love it!

I would recommend the K&N 63 series intake. You can hear the difference in the engine.

I would recommend a Borla muffler. T304 stainless construction, straight-through design, and great sound. I personally feel getting mufflers welded on is better than clamp on kits...although there is probably no difference. More of a piece of mind thing I guess. DSCN0243.MOV - YouTube

No cutting or welding just clamps into place I have one that's coming now and I can't wait.

I guess that I could be in the same boat b/c I have the 24" on the way but was thinking about the 18" but i will see pretty soon. I think that with a cai and mufflex is a awesome combo I also order the vararam.

If you want aggressive get the 14" mufflex, that's what I have and its better than the flowmaster 40's I had on my '05 ram. Just unclamp your factory muffler and put this one in, took me one hour-outside-30 degrees and no air tools. The 18" is less aggressive and 24" is-well you get the idea. The factory muffler is a 24" but is more restrictive. K&N is pretty good as far as CAI-easy to install, good performance and not so pricey.

Go ahead and change the whole thing. People who just throw on a muffler and leave that HORRID OEM Y-pipe crimp [restriction] are just short changing themselves.

Magnaflow 16869 catback & 10778 Y-pipe combo is a winner. Just the way the 5" welded tips sit filling out the OEM bumper cutouts is worth it alone. The sound is amazing!

You'll absolutely love it in EVERY way!
