It's the tips that come with the Maganflow 16869 catback exhaust. They are welded on from the factory and are NOT available as an extra. The Maganflow rep told me the tips alone - if they were available seperately - would retail for almost $150.00 EACH!

The sound is truly amazing! I've been a Corsa and Borla man all my life. This is my first Magnaflow. It's the best sounding exhaust I've done on ANY vehicle.... period!

At idle, it has a very nice subtle and throaty growl to it. Driving "normally" around town it sounds great.... deep and throaty but nothing abnoxious. At WOT it sounds amazing! Exactly what I wanted. Absolutely no drone ANYTIME!

For the record, the OEM resonators were trashed.

To add: I'm hoping to pick up a new video camera next month and promise to post a sound clip.

Sick, how loud is it with no resonators? Did you do the install or exhaust shop?

It's not loud at all. At idle, it's probably NOT as loud as the OEM exhaust. Under normal acceleration it come alive. Just a nice deep and throaty growl that lets its presence known. Put your foot down under WOT and it's a whole new ball-game..... with absolutely no drone at anytime [even when MDS kicks]

It is a direct bolt-on system and comes with everything needed for na at-home installation.

However, I had my exhaust guy weld everything on. I had a slight issue with a Corsa bolt-on catback exhaust on my 05' GTO a few years back after I installed it in my driveway and a clamp came free [installation fault; not product].

Since then, I've had ALL my aftermarket exhausts welded on by my guy at his shop..... just a peice of mind.

I do know of a couple of 4th Gen owners who have installed the same Magnaflow catback as I have in their driveway in about an hour or so. The Magnaflow Y-pipe will have to be cut and welded on, however.

Here's another photo for you --

I would probably go with the mufflex(smaller the muffler, the louder) or the cherry bomb vortex muffler replacement
