To anyone running 3.21 gears.

If you are running 35's are you happy with them or would you rather have gone with a 33?

Still trying to decide whether or not to run 35's or 33's. I just don't want to put to much unnecessary stress on the truck

Ive had two trucks with 3.21's and 35's...added a Pedal Commander, feels more than strong enough.

Go with the 35s if you like the looks. I have no complaints about how my truck drives with 295-65r20s and 3.21s.

I don't enjoy rotating them though.

The 8 spd tranny helps a lot with such a high gear ratio. I have 35’s and no complaints after adding vararam, Moes TB, pedal commander and jay Greene tune to get the power back.

Triumphx is spot-on, 35s are no issue w/ 3.21s & the 8spd. Bone stock my truck felt a bit lethargic but that was due to the laggy factory throttle response programming, not the 35s. After adding a Pedal Commander, tuner, CAI & exhaust.... no problem lighting them up & it pulls like a beast throughout the powerband.

Man, everytime I see either of your trucks it makes me want to pull the trigger on the lift. Love how that Maxtrac 4.5/3 sits. Oh well....one day when I don't drive damn near 100 miles a day I'l lift and add 35s. Until then I'll continue to live vicariously through you haha

LOL
their lift kits ride just like stock. That's why when I sold the 2015, and got back into the 19, I HAD to have the lift. It with 35's just looks killer. Sure mileage went down, maybe 1-2 MPG, but for me its worth it. But, I don't drive near like you do.
Got Dec 29th, have 2800 miles on it.
LOL

I can imagine, I have their 2.5" level and have been completely satisfied with it in leu of an actual lift.
I wish I could save my mileage like that haha
Bought end of May 2018 - not even a full year later and I'm about to hit 21K on the odometer :boxed:

I have the 3.21s with 37s and it runs fine .. I mean yes would love to re-gear but the power is still there ... takeoff is a bit slower now but acceleration is actually still quite good once you are on the highway ...with 35s you should be just fine

I love my 35s they balance the truck out well. That being said they are 100 lbs a piece and certainly affect performance. She will still get up and go. I get about 18 on the highway and 13 city.

I wouldn’t be happy with 33s, but I may look into doing a gear swap.
