Ugh, picking the kid up from a late lacrosse game, some 69 year old lady ran a red light and smacked my truck pretty good. Worried about the floor damage..and the step seems to have pulled out from underneath a bit...No one was injured thankfully, cars can be fixed...

We'll see how good the Dodge collision center is. Door no longer seals at the top, got a 1/2" gap covered with clear gorilla tape.

Glad you're OK. While it does suck, looking at it from a glass half full perspective... you may only be out a new door and some floor/support work under it (and obviously some paint). Could have been worse! She could have hit you right where the doors meet, meaning you need multiple doors replaced, more support work, etc.

Hopefully she has insurance. Been hearing about a lot of accidents recently where drivers have no insurance, and almost as many with no license or revoked license. People just don't care anymore.

I'm afraid the dents would have been worse after I threw her head first into the side of the truck...your post indicates DUI...at 69 she should know better by now but I would have been obliged to use my dented sheet metal to beat it into her.

Because assaulting a 69 year old woman is exactly what you should do after an accident.

Naw, I'm certain should would have stumbled into it repeatedly! But then you could have stopped at the scene to giver her a hug, tell her it was all going to be okay and it wasn't her fault.

Different perspective moron...my wife was killed by a 57 year old drunk driver who had three previous DWIs. She was 24 at the time.

He was enough to know better and a damned 69 year old women sure as hell ought to know better.

I arrived just in time to see them hauling my deceased wife away and the drunk "hitting" his head three or four times on the roof of the Highway Patrol car as they hauled him off to jail.

Its all about perspective...you obviously have none from which to speak on the matter...hardEight could have been badly injured or killed in the accident had it been worse.

Yeah, I knew you'd resort to name calling. Sorry about your wife, doesn't excuse assaulting a 69 year old woman. You'd go to jail, no matter your perspective. But keep up with that attitude. It'll get you far.

There is no excuse or remorse for an impaired driver. Too many innocent lives have been shattered due to their crimes. While I don't advocate street justice, I have no sorrow for whatever comes their way.

69 or 169. Whooped ass. Spent 22 years of my life locking up various dirtbags of society. When I was a patrol Deputy, lots of **** I would cut breaks for. DUI was not one of them. You are making a conscious decision to get behind the wheel impaired. Have seen lots of lives destroyed as a result. No tolerance.
