Cargo Light Question

Is the cargo light supposed to come on with the dome lights? It always did on my 04 but doesn't on my 11. It works when I turn it on with the button but that's the only time. Is there a setting for it or is that just the way they are on the 4th gen trucks?

No, if your talking about the cargo light for the bed on the exterior of the truck, then it's not suppose to come on with your dome lights. There's a separate switch/button for that.

Yup, like Trip said. the only other thing is, mine also comes on with the unlock button on the remote for like 30 seconds.

Right, the one in my 05 only comes on when I use the FOB to unlock the doors or I manually turn it on.

Sorry, I was thinking wrong. My 04 only came on with the FOB also like you guys are saying. But my 11 doesn't even do that. Is there way to make it so it does come on for a bit when I unlock my doors with my FOB like my 04 did?

They do come on when you open the door though

I could have sworn my dads came on along with the puddle lights when you unlocked it

i'm pretty you have to hit it at least twice and has to be dark for it to lite. someone needs to got out and test it

I don't have my truck with me at the moment otherwise I would. I just know it didn't come on with one hit of the unlock button, I can't remember if i tried hitting it twice or not. It did come on when I hit the button inside so I do know the bulb and everything is good.

Maybe it has to do with how your courtesy lights are set, or the door lock setup is in the EVIC?
I have ours set to unlock all four doors with one push (very handy) and the cargo comes on with the puddle lights for 30 sec.

I'd have a go through through the "System Setup" menu in the Evic and play around a little.
