Bought used carpet that has some stains in it. What’s the best way to get stains out while it’s out of the truck? Best cleaning solution? Don’t really care about them being completely gone, just better. Any advice is helpful!

So far the best thing I have used to clean the multitude of Ram carpet sets has been
Spray-Nine Cleaner Degreaser that I get at Walmart. I've been using it for a couple of years now whether I am spot cleaning with a scrub brush or with the carpet removed. It works really well and doesn't leave a dirt-collecting sticky mess that some carpet cleaners leave behind.

Thanks guys.
I picked up a bottle of Chemical Guys Lightning Fast the other morning before any responses since my store had it and went to work. It worked way better than I expected and took out all of the main stains. Still a few that need to be worked on but they are all underneath where the floor mats will be. I believe if I had a carpet brush for the drill it would have taken everything out.

Diluted to the specs on the bottle, this was a spray, let sit for 30 seconds, scrub for 20 seconds then wipe off.

I use regular carpet shampoo at a high concentration applied with a medium bristle brush like guys who clean rugs would use. Then I pressure wash it and hang it to dry. In my case it came out looking like new. Once it was mostly dry outside and in the garage i brought it indoors and let it dry completely before I put it back in. Also way easier to clean the interior with the seats and carpet out so I did the seats out of the truck and did the rest of the cab before reassembly. The end result on my old work truck with 270,000+ kms on it. No major stains on the carpet and black certainly helps with that, but it's had it's fair share of muddy people get in and out.20181116_162602.jpg 20181117_084751.jpg

I second pressure washing it. Oh BOY was there a lot of disgusting brown, red and oddly blue water than came out of my old 'black' carpet. I ended up just replacing it for other reasons, but WOWZA was I amazed at what came out.

I would certainly pretreat areas that are seeming nasty with an APC and a stiff brush.

Making sure it's 100% dry is very important, especially if you live somewhere with higher average humidity.
