Carplay issue

So heres a little issue im having. Last time i used carplay to gps somewhere the screen did not turn to night mode so while driving at night the gps screen is super bright. Is there a setting somewhere to turn it to night mode? Ive looked (briefly) on both phone and uconnect settings and couldnt see anything. Thankfully i dont use gps often but i have an upcoming 5 hr trip and would not like to have that bright screen at night
