The carven competitor and progressive mufflers are very well built and nice sounding for our ram trucks.

A ton of members on here run them and I have been around a few trucks personally with them installed. Competitor is quite a bit more aggressive than the progressive muffler

Makes the truck sound absolutely mean on cold starts but during cruising speeds there is no drone and sounds almost stock. Good luck keeping your foot off the pedal though, you will always want to hear it when you have the chance lol.

Thanks! for the reply! I've been looking into multiple options to boost sound without dropping lots on the complete system. It looks like I am leaning towards getting one of these!!

I also have the progressive. I have a Rebel with 3.92 gears. Love the exhaust. It’s a quality product. Cold starts sound mean and nasty with an amazing bark when it first fires up. At cruising speeds or light throttle you can tell it’s back there but not obnoxious. At WOT it’s music to my ears. Highway speeds and cruise control have not caused me any definitive drone that I can hear to what I would consider drone (but everyone’s threshold and personal definition of drone is a little different). I also have the matte black 5” tips that helped to deepen the tone.

I’ve had it on the truck for about 2 months and couldn’t be happier.

I have the progressive, sounds awesome with city driving. Drives me nuts on the highway. Id say 1300-1700 rpm it drones pretty bad. Taking it off next week, gonna try the borla pro xs mod guys did here

Got a few friends that run the competitor series with the 5' tips and they love it. No complaints of drone and sounds good. I currently run a cherry bomb extreme with the Carven 5 inch tips and i love the sound. It's a little more raspy and sounds just as aggressive if not a bit more than the competitor series. Drone about 1.7-1.8 RPM (not bad but you can tell it's there) I think I'm going to swap it out for the Carven system when i get tired of the cherry bomb or when it falls off since its made from crap metal lol
