Clearly the trans is a POS and who ever rebuilt it did a bad job I would contact ebay stop wasting your time yank it and send it even if you get it to work probly wont last long.

So your thinking alphas quicklearn or relearn could be the culprit? Im asking because im thinking of upgrading my 65rfe VB to the sonnax one and was wanting to use alpha as my relearn tool.Alpha can also screw some chit up if not careful.

I'm sure you've probably looked at this already but does the main trans connector have any bent or corroded pins?
Not saying it is but you can change things with alpha that can cause havoc......that's why saving screenshots of data before changes are recommended to reverse just in case.So your thinking alphas quicklearn or relearn could be the culprit? That's great!!Issue fixed. It was a shorted solenoid pack.

Which solenoid pack was shorted? I thought you had switched them at one point?
