I just emptied my BT catch can for the first time yesterday. After about 1,500 miles it was close to 1/2 full of oil. It definitely does it's job just like the JLT catch can that I used on my previous 2011 Mustang.

Mine was about 1/8 full after 6,000 miles. I run 10w40 in the summer and 10w30 in the winter.
When you run the recommended oil 5w 20 it fills up quick. I don't cause it is too thin imo....

as mexi said..... how much collects in the can is generally based on driving habits. the pcv valve is wide open at idle and lower cruising rpms. vacuum is highest in the manifold under these conditions and the pcv valve is pulled open. under wot, vacuum is lowest in manifold and the pcv valve closes thereby having less potential for catching anything.
I was talking to my dad about catch cans, and he's a farmer (so basically a self-taught mechanic).
He's saying that even though there is oil and moisture going through, it would just get burned off and not really affect anything at all, as long as you drive it at a normal run-temperature. He seems to think that these cans are a complete waste of money unless you're driving a real performance vehicle, or don't let the vehicle get up to temp. It'd be cool to do a real side-by-side comparison, like two identical vehicles doing the exact same runs for their whole life, but one with a catch can and one without.
I'm still convinced it's worth it to get these, and I can't wait to see the results of it in my truck.
). After nearly 30~40K miles on both cars, the blade on the throttle body on the one that had a CC was CLEAN while the one without the CC was covered in carbon.
