CEL Flashes 10 Times

Went to try the TPS reset, so as I'm waiting in all the dummy lights to go off, the CEL blinks 10 times and then stats on. Goes off when I start the truck tho. Does this have a hidden meaning? I tried to cycle the ignition to get the code but nothin happened...

if it goes off and stays off, I wouldn't worry...comes back on, have it scanned and read. if it wasnt on before, I bet your ok.

But I'm wondering if this is related to my truck dying and it's been feeling "boggish" when driving it

you could scan it to see if there are any history codes, or soft codes in it.

I've always thought if the CEL was flashing it meant something more urgent than it just coming on. But if it turns off when you crank it and doesn't have any codes....no idea. I have the 4.7 so it might be different, but when I turn my key to on without cranking, mine doesn't flash at all. If it feels "boggish" maybe it is something like injectors needing to be cleaned but not bad enough to throw a code yet? I dunno...just throwing stuff out there.

I know that I had gotten some water or something in one of my spark plugs in my old truck and my cel was blinking indicating a misfire on such and such cylinder which would cause it to bog but I had codes as well too so its kind of strange that you have no codes as well

Hmm, I guess I can try to put in some injector cleaner when I get gas, I just changed the plugs and wires a few months back.
