Hey guys just recently bought a used center console to replace my column shift/jump seat but I have a quick question. By swapping in the center console I loose the two cigarette lighters/12v plugs in the dash, my new console has three cigarette lighters but the OEM wires are no where close to being long enough so is there away of extending these wires to reach the new plugs? Maybe zip ******* where I haven't looked (wont get that lucky I know) or is my best bet to just cut the end and extend the wires? Also after looking into mounting th new console I only see mounting holes at the front of the console is that the only way the console attaches? (Side note those two holes are broken off on my console so looks like I'll have to engineer someway to actually mount it but that's beside the point). Thanks for any help!

Drag the wires under the carpet so that they come out right under the radio. That is where they plug into the center console. At least on the last two Rams that I have completed this swap on, that's how it worked.

cool I'll have to look at it this afternoon and see what you're talking about, from what I remember I thought it came from towards the top not down at the carpet but I'll check that and see

check under your drivers seat. I just swapped my console out for a jump seat and my disconnect was under the seat where my motor is for my power seat on the drivers side.

Side note... I'm willing to buy your old jumseat brackets if you're willing to sell them. I can't find a set anywhere. I already have the seat just need the seat brackets that attach to the floor.
