Here, you can see the changes in the Longhorn Black & Cattle Brown interior from 2022 to 2023.

* Brushed chrome trim was updated to a more sharp, refined gloss chrome.
* Steering wheel control buttons are more crisp.
* Cattle brown stitching stands out more on the black leather of the arm rests, steering wheel, and center console.
* Side view mirrors are re-engineered
* Dashboard instrument panel no longer has old style analog dials, but is now fully digital
* And there are subtle differences to the 12 inch uConnect System
* Lastly, the Longhorn floor mats now match the Cattle Brown leather

All in all, a GREAT improvement, and further refinement. I can't see how it can be made any better. :)

Ram crushes others on interiors.
Yes they do and that’s why I traded my 2019 Acura Rdx A-Spec which I bought brand new for my used 2019 Laramie Longhorn. My truck has more of a premium/luxury feel and look to it than my old Rdx by a landslide.

Some of those changes are rolling changes through the year. My 22 Ltd Longhorn was built late in the year, and has some of that stuff. Brown stitching, more chromed trim (but gold), floormats, etc. The extending mirrors and the dash are the big things they did for 23. I had extending mirrors on a GMC 3/4 ton. Nice to have, but could be unreliable, especially in cold weather. Hope the Ram version works better.

Seems like most models only have a black interior

I don't like all black, either. This Black & Mountain Brown, though, is very nice. The contrasts are perfect.

The 2023 looks just like my current 2019. Are they backwards?

I prefer the one that is currently labeled 2023.

No, those pics are not backwards. The one labeled 2023 is the new Longhorn interior

The one labeled 2023 is what my '19 has as well. Did they change for a couple years and then go back?

I currently have a '19, as well and it is the first, top picture. Not the bottom one.

You must look closely. The 2023 no longer has the brushed aluminum bezel around the uConnect and vents. In '23 its now black. Also, the '23 no longer had old style analog gauges, but is fully digital. Also, the side view mirrors are new for '23.

One has to really study and look closely to see the differences.

Most of the differences are pretty subtle. They like to do something every year, just to be able to say "this stuff is new!!!" when they bump the price up several thousand dollars. But the dash and mirror changes are 23 only stuff.

Those are renderings, and you can’t really go by those. Most of the stuff you see in those two renderings don’t reflect what the interiors actually look like. All the interior trim is the same from 2019-2023- including the brushed “gold” tinted inlays. Stitching is all the same. Floor mats are the same.

One major thing thing that is incorrect about the 2023 rendering is the steering wheel. The 2023’s no longer have the wood for the top half of the wheel. The center dash bezel around the radio screen is also not black like that rendering shows.

The only differences on the interior for the 23’s are the steering wheel switches layout, no wood on top of steering wheel, full digital instrument cluster, and a different switch on the driver door in place of the convex mirror adjustment switch. Exterior difference is just the new telescoping mirrors.

Here is a 2023 listing, and a 2019 listing so you can do a real world comparison.

Sorry, wasn't as clear as I should have been. :banghead:

I meant, the difference between my interior and the ones pictured is because I have a 2019 1500 Longhorn, which looks like the 2023 interior pictured, is due to it being a HD.

Looks like the HD's are just catching upto the 1500 interiors.

Thanks Jimmy. Bummer that they deleted the wood on the top of the steering wheel. That wood on the top was one of the very nicest things I like about this interior. It's the one constant point of contact, and feel of connection that a person has to a vehicle. Yet, it may be easily overcome. It may be that that is actually a simulated wood, available aftermarket PART and is designed to insert & snap over--kind of like how one would fit a partially inflated bicycle tube inside a bicycle tire

Only the '23 2500 Longhorns deleted the wood on top of the steering wheel. My build is a 3500. The first pic below is Rams' rendering of the '23 Longhorn 2500. The 2nd pic is the '23 Longhorn 3500.

ALL 2023 Ram trucks got rid the wood on the top half of steering wheel for all longhorns and limiteds- 1500, 2500, 3500, etc. Trust me- you’re getting an all black leather steering wheel.
Here’s a 2023 longhorn 3500:

So then, how do we explain the different renderings of the 2500 & 3500 on the Ram Truck Build & Price website? Why would they have 2 different renderings? Also, the link you just shared showed the old syle analog gauges. The cluster is now supposed to be fully digital.
