I had my or 2500 for about a month now. Everything is still original being that it has 50k miles on it. I just did the spark plugs and now I want to change the washer fluid and coolant because it looks slightly dirty and just to make me feel better I want to change it out. My question is can I get a fluid extracter of some type and suck all the fluid out as much as I can and then add coolant and washer fluid? Or do I have to flush it out a certain way? And if I could just extract it would it be harmful to possibly have 2 different coolants in there?

If I do is it hard and are there any links I can use to teach me how to do it?
I know how to bleed the brakes but as for the washer fluid and coolant I am not sure what to do.
Thanks

by "washer fluid and coolant" are you talking about just windshield washer fluid, or your engine coolant too?

I think harbor freight has a suction liquid transfer pump for like 15 bucks, works well for the washer fluid.

If you're putting coolant in your washer fluid to help with a freezing problem, I wouldn't do it. Little trick my dad would do in winter would put a 70/30 mix of alcohol water mix in his guild to keep it from freezing.

The coolant and the washer fluid are going in their respected spots, I just want to change out both of them not looking to mis winshield washer fluid and engine coolant.

What I was referring to was would it be bad to have a little bit of old engine coolant in their when I put the new one in? Same for the washer fluid

Oh I see. No it'll be fine. As long as you get the HOAT coolant, the red/orange one, its fine to mix. Same goes with washer fluid, don't freak out about old mixing with new.

No it's a special kind of coolant, either just go to the dealer and ask for it, or look around. I know some companies make it but I can't recall which ones.
