How about a compromise, some chrome, some paint? I ordered a new Longhorn with body color bumpers. I like the mix but it is subjective.

I see a lot of RAMs on the road that has some type of blackout package and they look pretty sharp. I could go either way but I spend most of my time in the cab, there, I go for the warm leather and wood look.

how about Black Chrome?? chrome bumper companies are trying how to work this out for manufacturers right now. thats the wave of the future. Black trucks are deadly looking with it.

There's a local chrome shop that does Black Chrome, seen a few custom bumpers they did getting ready to be shipped.
The typical blackout the vehicle needs to go away, it's been overdone way too much. Seen 8 Ram trucks that were "blacked out" at one intersection and it wasn't near Warren Truck either.

When I was young, a 'work truck' had painted bumpers, rubber floors, vinyl bench seat, crank windows, no AC, maybe an AM radio.

A fancy truck had chrome bumpers and grill, maybe the mirrors, nicer wheels, carpets, cloth seats. Really fancy trucks had nice wheels, AC, FM radio, and maybe electric windows and locks.

I still see trucks with some chrome as nicer. To each his own.

yeah typical black paint needs to go away but chrome? when it is in the sun wow. Just my preference though, I went to a local rim shop and they have a PVD paint. Bit coating appearance to it but it looks awesome, I am thinking about doing my rims. $125 each tire in Cdn $$ so it is actually cheaper than new rims too. 5 year warranty on the work.
