Do they come in other colors? What is the goopy stuff on there RTV?
Did you do that? Or has a dealership performed a repair?
Picture is unclear, did they or you use any type of thread locker, peen the threads? What all are you asking an opinion of?

If it was done by a Ram Tech, you should be all set, I have been told they know everything because they work there.

They totally rebuilt my rear diff, the nut was already loose when I took it in. Have almost 1,000 mi. on it so far, no issues whatsoever. Guess it depends on the shop.

I took mine in last month and luckily mine was ok. They still rebuilt everything though! Made me happy to get a brand new rear end for free!

That looks beyond saving. The one on my '92 RC looks better (MUCH better!) than that.

My Uncle make it. It is a collar over the bolt and in the bore of the yoke. That is grease to help it not rust. The collar is held in there by set screw threaded half into the yoke and the collar. And snug fit. So for the nut to turn not it has to shear the set screw or mush the collar or yoke. There is two holes with threads to pull on if it get seized in.

Just wondering what you guys thought of it.

Lol so true!!!

Good fix, that's basically what the dealership does for the recall. I think it'll work just fine.

had to change u-joints on 05 ram daytona (83,000 miles) over the weekend rear joint was shot and woobly, while driveshaft was off put a large breaker bar on pinion and gave a good tug no movement so i took a little chisel and peened the threads a little, back together and no more 50 ton60 mph vibration, they must have 5 gal of locktight on driveshaft bolts, what a bear to get off

My Uncle says the splines on the yoke and pinion shaft might get some play and the slowly work the nut loose.

I installed the recall kit on my 05 ram 1500 4x4 when I installed a new diff. a few months ago.

The dealers recall Pinion nut fix includes a new nut and a locking devise that goes around the outside of the nut and you tighten it with an Allen. This locks the nut to the pinion flange.

Was this recall just on the 05's? I'm wondering if I got a bad one and is to blame for me having to replace my rear end.
