Click felt through steering when stopping

2015 1500 Sport Crew Cab bone stock, 150k-ish miles.

I've been noticing a mild click felt through steering (intermittently) when straight line braking just before coming to complete stop.

Seeking wisdom from you forum pros on what to look at first. Many thanks!

On my 2014 the intermediate shaft for steering where it goes through the fire wall is shot its a bushing or something it will clunk when i turn or hit the brakes sometimes.
