Got into my truck today and continually being asked if I want to reset the clock. Pressing yes or no makes no difference. The ’blip’ sound is annoying. Read a bit about replacing the digitizer. Is this something I need to go to the dealer for? Thanks to all!

I had a hunch you had a 2018 before I opened this thread just from the preview. Do you have the 8.4 stereo? If so, is the screen delaminating? Lots of users here have described the stereo going haywire because of the delamination, and since the delam begins at the top of the screen, the clock is one that goes nuts.

This clock issue today was a brand new thing. Nothin, other than asking if I need to reset the time, is happening. I really dread going to the dealer for anything. Tomorrow, I will view in daylight to see if there’s been delamination. Thank you for the input. We shall see.

Is this fixable by laminating ?

Not that simple, I'm afraid. It is the protective glass delaminating from the digitizer screen caused by the adhesive melting in the heat. Apparently, the adhesive in the 2018 8.4 screens was not cured properly. If the truck is still under warranty, the dealer should replace the stereo, but there may still be a backlog. Otherwise, new stereos run over $1k if you can find one.

Here are some threads on the subject. The last one shows how to fix it yourself.
