cluster replace

I replace my instrument cluster in my 06 ram 3500 and when I turned the key to start, the engine cranl but would not start. Also the check engine light blinked continusly. Any ideas, do the dealer need to reset or what. I replace with the original cluster, and the vehicle started right up>

I remember reading something About The Cluster And Having This Problem When Replacing it but don't remember what the solotion to the problem is just wanted to respond since nobody else had
