Hey all. I have a 2006 Ram 2500 with a 5.7L Hemi and a G56 6 speed manual transmission. I'm looking for an upgrade to the clutch over the oe replacement. So far the best I've found is a 1/2" larger friction disc that uses the same pressure plate and flywheel. I'm really hoping to find a double disc so I can really throw the mods at it down the road.....:naughty: Thanks!

Valair or South Bend clutch.

Thanks! I have tried emailing South Bend already, no reply since Monday yet....I'll try and get ahold of Valair too. Problem I have is I can't just use a cummins clutch, and pressure plate...G56 input shafts are different from Hemi to Cummins applications :banghead:

Just an update: South Bend said they can't help me. I would assume Valair is going to be the same when they get back to me. Peter at South Bend referred me to McLeod Racing saying they are big in performance gas applications so I emailed them and initially they said they can't help me either but I found one of their clutches that should fit my input shaft, diameter and spline count are right anyway :naughty: It's for a 2011-2012 5.7L Hemi Challenger and is a dual disc with an 800 hp rating which should be plenty. I may be getting a new flywheel and starter to make this work.....We'll see how this goes for later this summer....:naughty:

Any updates on what you found out? I have the same configuration and the throw out bearing keeps going out on me. I would love to figure out another option to increase the life. Everything on youtube shows the diesel ones but i cant make that work.... Any help would be awesome.
A question for the hive mind.....Is the transmission removal process the same as the diesel? I am going to have to replace the throw out bearing soon and don't want to spend the shop fees for something i can do.
