I have an '03 Dodge with the cup holder that is supposed to pop out/down but doesn't.

Cleaned the truck out including it, figured maybe years of coffee and such splashed in and making it sticky but made no difference. So I took silicone spray and sprayed all the parts and tracks, also made no difference.

Basically, when I push it it doesn't pop-out and down. I have to lift up a bit, wiggle it and get a fingernail in and pull it to get it to pop-out.

This common with these? Any way to adjust it or anything? Not a huge deal, until in the drive-through line for a coffee and the thing won't budge.

The ashtray is fine, in fact it's the opposite... slightly graze it and it pops open.

Mine is the same way in my 04. Haven't figured it out yet but haven't tried very hard as the cup holder pops out after a couple trys still. Ever since I had my last stereo stolen, it's been like that.

Wonder if maybe a trim thing? I get a new stereo... hopefully mid next week so, next weekend I'll have that part of the dash off.

Had hoped the silicon spray would have made it slick enough to work better... just made the truck smell of silicon spray for a few days was about it. :D

My other issue is the one window, driver's of course... that awful gritty noise but only half up/down it happens so something in the upper portion of the track. Not much luck getting it cleaned out yet. Plus a lot of air noise on the doors... which I read is often fixed by moving the latch in a bit.

Haven't had it out yet myself, but so far silicone grease did squat.

May have to glue a tab onto it, something to grab and pull on to get it to lower.
