40 below (and worse) last night and all day today. Billy's dash display don't like it one bit. The CAL indicator is back, the driver's side tires are showing low, the check engine light is on, the windshield washer shows empty, the touch screen won't light up until cabin temp is reasonable...HOWEVER, he's running good. the oil is up, and after a trip to town the central dash display shows all temps and pressures (except for tires) are good.
The dash display only goes to -40, but the alcohol thermometers by our bedroom and kitchen windows say -43 to -45.
Just another day in Paradise!

Not any warmer here in Alberta but at least I get to park mine in a heated garage. Vehicle is MUCH happier than being parked outside. Even Nitrogen filled tires lose a lot of pressure when it is this cold. Be happy you aren't driving an electric, both my neighbors can barely get an hour drive time on fully charged batteries right now and they are having a hell of a time staying warm. These are vehicles parked in heated garages over night and plugged in daily.

This was a few days ago, it is only -26 this morning, its a heat wave. Supposed to go +40F by Sunday. Nothing like 85 degree temperature swings.

So you finally got Alberta whether. ;)
You mean Alberta got Yukon weather. Back in the nineteen ought seventies we were guaranteed 4 weeks of -40 (you choose F or C) and worse, and at least -50 F sporadically for 5 or 7 days. We'd drive in ice fog seemingly for days, and whenever we got up the hill to, say, the airport and sunlight, it was like a weight got lifted off our shoulders. It was worse for real old guys, pre 70's.
I grew up iin Calgary where we had CHINOOKS. (Not the aircraft, but the difference between the wet and dry adiabatic lapse rates.) 20 below was a nasty walk to school. Guaranteed two spring blizzards that made travel on #2 to Edmonton interesting...A '70 Dodge Dart with a skid plate under the oil pan and tranny made it a lot easier.

Is there a thread here for memories?

BTW, more Rams per capita here than practically anywhere. (Anecdotal evidence.)

Most of my lights are back off now that this cold snap is coming to an end. Had low tire and service air suspension lights. I know if I switch to nitrogen in the tires the pressure won't fluctuate as much, but for the few weeks a year it's down that low I can live with it. I turn aero off in air suspension or when it's colder than -20 since the pump doesn't like to work when it's colder than -30. I run -47 de-icer in my washer fluid reservoir now and haven't had that light come on since though I still avoid using it when it's that cold. Pretty much just freezes to the windshield and blinds you.

Block heater?
Oil Heater?

With temps like that you should put a ceramic heater in the cab overnight!

On top of block heaters, we actually have 110 volt in car warmers designed specifically to keep the cab above freezing and it means you don't have to scrape the windows. There are also diesel fired heaters for block and cab for those without access to electrical power.

Your Yukon weather is spilling over the mountains into SE Alaska! Coldest winter I can remember since the 70’s in Juneau. Low of -14 F here which is damn cold for us rainforest folks with webbed feet. Other than tire pressure and the truck going into battery saver mode it’s running strong.
