Hey all. New poster here just wanted to hear some thoughts??

Heard awesome reviews on these tires.

Up close to Toronto they come in at about 1000$ cash for a set of 4

These are winter rated with the snowflake symbol.

Anyone around the lower 48 and or Canada using these?

How are they in the snow??

Do they fit wide or narrow compared to other MT?

What MT tread are they replicate of??

With exactly 0 siping, I would be very cynical of that snowflake symbol.

They look cool, and are likely very worthy off road, but also appear noisy as hell and highly doubtful to be ANY good in road snow.

EDIT: I am seeing no reference anywhere that they are 3 peak mountain snowflake rated. Where did you see/hear it was?

They’re muds. That’s not winter capable tire at all unless they are ready to be studded. Didn’t see anything close to that in their website Unicorn tire.

What I know they are exact same as ginell gn3000. Which are 3 peak mountain rated.

Has anyone had experience with these in the snow?

Any other info on the other 3 questions asked in the original thread would be great...

I know a guy who bought a used sierra with these tires on it. I asked him how he liked them and he wasn't impressed. Said they rode harsh, were noisy and didn't provide much traction in wet/slippery conditions. He said he was looking for another brand of tire before the winter (this was last fall) as he didn't think they'd do well in winter (he lives in North Bay). On the positive side, he said they do well on back/forrest roads and hasn't gut stuck getting to his "secret" hunting/fishing spots.

Just 1 persons opinion, but it swayed me away as I also consider them for the price/look. I went with Amp A/T Pro instead and have been satisfied with those tires.

They are similar to nitto trail grapplers, and BF goodrich original mud terrains.
I have no issues with my trail graps in snow.

I bought a set of RoadCruza RA3000 mud terrains and they are made in the same exact Chinese factory as the Comforsers and have a similar tread pattern. They don't look bad, but man they were horribly out of round and after 4 tries at balancing them (road force twice) I just gave up and wore a mouthpiece. J/K I didn't wear a mouthpiece, but it was a rough ride. Especially with the stiff 2500 suspension. This was in Alaska and I did use them in the snow. They worked fine for traction in the deeper snow with the big lugs but on the wet/slushy/icy street they weren't good at all. My wife wouldn't drive my truck because she was scared of how loose they were and how sloppy they felt at freeway speeds. We had Toyo M/T's before and there is no comparison. She had no problem driving it with those tires. Not sure what size you're looking at and if tires are more spendy in Canada, but I would stay away from those and go with a more mainstream name brand. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the info guys.. the big reason I asked is that there are tons of positive reviews

Ride quiet,
directionally treaded,
strong side wall,
10 ply.

YouTube reviews are positive, snow rated, good siping.

Only Neg is wet traction but common for most MT

For 1000$ CAD I may bite the bullet for 35x12.5.

They also fit narrow so more like 12" width from other reviews which would be perfect for my level... Can't be worse than the stock wranglers..lol
