I have been planning on buying a torque converter soon as well as a new valve body.

I have new heads on the way and will be putting in a comp 260 cam..

I was wondering at how much better a valve body is than a shift kit? This well save me money for sure but if the valve body is that much better for my mods that I will be doing I will purchase that instead.

What do you guys think? Would a valve body be better or would a shift kit suffice?

The truck is my daily driver and I really don't open it up too much honestly or drive it hard.

I can't compare the kit verse the valve body. But can say with a loose 2800 TC the stage III valve body works very nicely for me.

I did a shift kit and performance clutches with an inline pressure thingy and wow what a difference... That was on a 09 5.7 with 545RFE. I didn't do anything with the torque converter because that truck was a daily driver.

Hmmm I guess the valve body it is. Hoping to get a job offer seeing that I am graduating soon and I want to be able to afford a few graduation presents for my truck hahaha
