I'd like to start by saying this is my first post and I love this forum almost as much as I love my Ram.
So I redoing everything audio and im curious as to how you guys are running your components. I'm going to run 6.5 components and I don't know if I should put the tweeters in the door or the dash. What are you guys doing?
I've read some forums of members saying they replaced the 3.5 in the dash with a better 3.5, did you put components and tweets in the door? Did you power the 3.5 with the H/U? Or did you put the component mid bass and crossover in the door and associated tweets in the dash?
I haven't done anything yet but just to throw my ideas of the rest of my system out there I'm going to fit a Nexus 7 tablet in the dash in front of a Sony MEX-gs600bt. Going to use the Sony app and the remote/ir repeater to control the H/U. Some type of high end components in the front (probably focal or hertz) leaving factory 6x9's in the back until they blow. For the amp I plan to run the JL Audio HD900/5 and for subs I would like to run 2 JL Audio 10w3v3-4. I know a lot of you agree that other subs are better but jl, alpine, and RF are all I've had the chance to listen to in person. If anything sounds better and can run in a small space with little power, I'd love to know but honestly I'm tired of racking my brain over what the "perfect daily driver/sq sub" is.
The box I plan to build myself thanks to myoung84 and his thread http://www.ramforum.com/f51/custom_fiberglass_sub_box-3235/
I also plan to install the H/U and Nexus 7 myself even though I've never done anything like this before
. I'll be sure to start a thread with pics as soon as I get it started. Just waiting on the Nexus 7 dock to come out and I'll get it going.
Sorry for the long post, guess I was excited to make my first one after reading TONS of other post.
