Is there a ground post in the vicinity of the interior fuse box? I'll need it for the ground side of a dash cam I'll be installing. Thanks...

This is my first post I make, so forgive me if this is the wrong thread to ask this question in, but I'm trying to install LED strips in my 2021 Ram 1500 Bighorn and after looking over HAL9001's amazing diagram, I was going to choose F54B to use a fuse tap on because it only works when the truck is ACC/RUN. My question is, do I have to make sure I insert the fuse tap in the right direction? Is there power only through the middle slot, or is it just the outside slots? Sorry if my question is confusing, any clarification is helpful.
Did you ever get the LED light strip to work? If so, which fuse did you use? I’m looking to install a LED light strip between the hood and grill but can’t find a fuse that comes on with ACC. All the install videos show an outdated fuse box

Very nice! I was bummed to see no fuse for the led headlights. I want to add driving lights that turn on automatically with the low beams and I’d rather not tie into the headlight wiring to activate the relay. Good stuff tho!

I know this is kind of an old channel, but can anyone tell me which fuse protects the 12vdc outlet on the dash of the 21 Ram 1500?

For my 2019 it was F54. There are two positions for that fuse to be installed for either hot (always on) or switched (only on with the ignition) power to the 12V outlet:

Thanks for the fuse diagram and spreadsheet.

I'm not electrically-minded but maybe it would be helpful to add column(s) to your spreadsheet if the fuse is active under specific engine conditions:
1. OFF engine, CONSTANT power (always-on)
2. ACC
3. RUN

I was running wiring for a dash cam that needed (2) Micro2 fuse taps, one for constant always-on power for dash cam parking mode, and one for power only when the engine is in ACC or RUN. I used F33 and F66.

Now I have another thing to add that requires constant always-on power. Not sure if I can piggy-back a fuse tap on another fuse tap, but if there was another Micro2 fuse in the fuse box with constant always-on power, I'd like to use that instead.

Maybe it would be useful to add column(s) to your spreadsheet with the engine power conditions for each fuse. Thank you again!

I posted a diagram for the Internal Fuse Panel recently. This was good information to share with other 5th-Gen 1500 owners because the owner's manual doesn't contain such a diagram and the labels on the panel are very hard to read.

However, there was a lot more information that could be even more useful such as a diagram for the External (Engine Compartment) fuse panel as well as better detailed information about all of the fuses, relays, and circuit breakers. This took a while to compile but it was worth it because it will be a handy reference for anyone who could use it.

I created the information in a spreadsheet database and then published it on the internet. From here anyone can reference it any time online. I've also created two pdf document files if you wish to download the information directly to your computer or your smartphone. You can print a hard copy or keep it on your smartphone to access it easily if you ever encounter any issues on the road.

The website and the files both contain detailed information about both the Internal and External Power Distribution Centers, much more than the owner's manual or any other such documentation I could find. For example, you can now very easily find all fuse and relay locations and reference with expanded detail what each one does. Instead of using the esoteric acronyms used in the owner's manual to describe the fuses and relays, I've expanded most of them to their full names. This makes it much easier to understand what each one does.

Please see for yourself. Here is the RAM 1500 5th-Gen Power Distribution Centers website. Also, I've attached the pdf files for both the Internal and External Power Distribution Centers to this post. Simply download them to your computer and/or smartphone. From there you can print out a hard copy if you wish.

F54A exists if you pull F54B and shift it from the right (B position) to the left (A position). F54B is ignition fed. F54A is battery fed. So, if you need one or the other, you have that option.

Does anyone know if this has changed for the 2025?
I am trying to get information on my 2025 and it is definitely different than the Gen 5s. I still have not found a labeled diagram for the interior fuse panel on the 2025s. I really appreciate the information that I found in this forum as it does give me information that I will still need to follow making sure I don't tap into the wrong fuse, or tips about making sure the fuse tap-ins are installed properly.

I recently popped a CEL on my 21’ reading active grill shutter lost communication. When I located the proper fuse location F18, there was no fuse in the slot. I purchased this vehicle 1year ago and this is my first code. Is it normal to be missing a fuse? And any harm installing one in the slot now?

I turned on the seat warmer and lost power to 1/2 of my components that run through the internal fuse panel (front door windows/locks, USB, Uconnect, parking sensors, etc) there are no blown fuses (including the F57 and F58 battery feeds). The best I can figure the N03 or N04 feeds from the BUS on the external fuse box are my issue. It looks these are supposed to be 80 amp breakers but I don't see any indicators. Any insight on how to test or repair these connections? I'm scheduled to take it to the dealer next week but if its something I can test beforehand it may save me from them searching (for hours).

Did all of those items function properly again, after the seat warmer was shut off?

No, it never turned on, power failed. I tapped the screen to turn on the seat warmer and instantly heard a click in the speakers and then screen went black. Since then the screen has stayed black, many sensors and controls are not working, no heat controls, radio is out. Most of the time it thinks it is in auxiliary power mode rather than turned off which drains the battery (I started disconnecting it so I don't have to jump it). The driver's and passenger's door controls for the mirror, front windows and locks do not work but they still operate the rear windows.
