So I just got this new to me 05 ram 2500 with 5.9 cummins.
The engine was rebuilt in the last 5 years. The truck hasn't had too many miles on it since then.
I noticed it needed coolant and wasn't sure what was in it, so I asked the previous owner and he told me he used the green all makes all models coolant since the rebuild. Is this going to cause a problem or is it ok at this point?
Opinions/recommendations appreciated.

If you mix the green cheap stuff with the orange OEM, that can cause issues. That said, if the system was all flushed of them OEM on rebuild and its all the green stuff now, that's perfectly fine. If there was going to be an issue if would've happened by now so you should be fine.

So glad to read this thread. I had my 2016 Ram 1500 rebuilt about 6 months ago. A new radiator was installed and the mechanic put the green coolant (all vehicles). I was taken back. What to expect in the near future, was my reaction. He said since the coolant was flushed and a new radiator and water pump installed, the coolant should be fine.
Read the comments, I am breathing easier. BYW, I live in Belize.
