I have about 120,000kms on it. I was travelling on back roads with varying speeds, about 80km/h at the time. I have new coolant in it from the last time but not a full blown flush.

Do you have access to an infrared camera. They are great for finding cold spots in a coolant system. Finding a cold spot can really help find a clog in the system.

If not, maybe it's time to bite the bullet and have a competent shop check over your cooling system before you blow a head gasket or warp a head.

This isn't something to blow-off and ignore. It can cost you some major $$$ if you procrastinate and it gets too hot.

Well I'm leaving for work for a month tomorrow so I'll take it to a different shop when I get home. I can get an infrared camera just not last minute today. Thing I found strange was it was fine for weeks after draining it and filling it back up again.
